studentprintz.com — Researchers at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada found a cheap and easy to produce drug that kills almost all cancers. The drug is dichloroacetate, which is effective at killing cancer cells, but leaving healthy cells alone. Turns out, this drug won't make pharmaceutical companies any profit, so it got swept under the proverbial rug.

Tell no one...but Digg?

Err, that was written in 2005 and this is claimed to be a newer discovery than that. That article was true but does not specifically claim to include this in it's consideration. This is another good step towards finding a cure, can you honestly tell me if you get cancer now, you won't be thinking about some kind of dichloroacetate related therapy to compliment whatever else is suggested?

@mhugginsThat article actually supports the argument that Bio-Pharm companies want to treat not cure diseases when it argues that: "And why would anyone hide a cure for cancer? Medical breakthroughs of all kinds are quickly announced and applied - as the world has seen with antibiotics and vaccines, such as the polio vaccine."You lose your argument when the disease you name has been cured over fifty years ago!Antibiotics are produced because they know the viruses will resurface. Vaccines are produced because newborns will need them, and/or adults will need reoccurring shots, i.e. flu shots, etc.
