hmm. never mind the fact that what you eat (animal allergens) is treated differently from stuff you breath into your lungs. So kissing the cat is good for you anyways.

You don't have to breed new races of cats, main coon cats don't cause alergic reaction.

I've been alergic to cats for years. Today I have two Tonkinese kitties. The Tonkinese breed arehypo-allergenic (sp?) as are the Rex breeds (Cheshire, Devon, etc.)A little research may be needed.....

Rex breeds are not hypo-allergenic. They lack the amount of hair that most cats do, so they don't collect as much oil, but they produce as much and cause allergies.
