theaustralian.news.com.au — . . . actually, there has been cooling, if you take 1998 as your point of reference. If you take 2002 as your point of reference, then temperatures have plateaued. This is not what you'd expect if carbon dioxide is driving temperature because carbon dioxide levels have been increasing but temperatures have actually been coming down.

I can't profess I've read every scientific report or even more than a dozen of them. I haven't truly informed myself on the scientific credentials of either argument because of one simple thing: I don't care if it is man-made or not. That being said, I run a recycling program at my high school, I encourage my extended family to buy green, and I am a vegetarian for mostly environmental purposes. If all these people who say global warming is real are actually right then I support that. If they are actually wrong then I can rest easy knowing that I'm gonna be able to live somewhere that gets some snow. But what I honestly care about is stuff like landwaste, wasting money and energy by feeding animals just so they can feed us, and spending so much to refuel our cars with a smelly fuel. I support the solutions to global warming because I think thy are good for society as well as the planet, I support the environmental line of thinking because even though we're too puny to understand the Universe, we should still be focusing on doing whatever we can to not be so selfish in our lifestyles. Crisis is just one of the best marketing methods out there.

@SkaAgent11 -- that's the most retarted thing I've ever heard? why did the reports just look around Gore's house and see if he was living up to this standard? So you're saying that to make up for it, he's just putting a Measly $500 into his Green company each month? Damn hypocrite, didn't bother to actually CHANGE HIS ACTIONS OR HIS CONSUMPTION TO LIVE BY HIS OWN STANDARDS -- What a phony.

No one argues that the earth warms. Some people argue that it's our fault.

The article simply repeats all of the Denier propaganda that has been thoroughly discredited and debunked, but as usual those with a political agenda know that all you have to do is repeat the lie and those desperate to believe it will claim "Mission Accomplished" as they strut around in their metaphoric flight suits.Marohasy is an embarassment at best. People interested in actual science done by real scientists should try http://realclimate.org/ as a start.

We are making trillion dollar decisions based on faulty science peddled by hypocrite Al Gore. Future generations will look back on "Global Warming" as the biggest hoax in human history. GlobalWarmingInsanity.com
