cnn.com — Picture this: you're sat down for the Football World Cup final, or a long-awaited sequel to the Sex and the City movie and you're watching all the action unfold in 3D on your coffee table. It sounds a lot like a wacky dream, but don't be surprised if within our lifetime your TV brings you face-to-face with life-sized versions of your gaming heroes.

You got that right....TV is so bad now i no longer watch it...And it's mostly commercials anyway...By the time this is perfected,TV shows will be 15 minutes long and the rest of their hour of time allotment will be ever more boring, insulting, irritating commercials.

"but how the f**k will we film in 3D?"Two cameras. This won't work for holographic displays, but that's not an issue considering nobody will use them. Stereoscopic technology is entirely superior and cheaper, not limiting your field of depth to the size of the containing box. This is "impress your friends" technology not movie watching technology. May also serve some purpose for presentations or various group events and of course will be used to draw 3D renders not direct camera captures.
