The article took "I think therefore i am" completely out of context. It has nothing to do with the difference between humans and animals. All it means is that we must exist because we are capable of thought; not even an evil genius could trick us into thinking if we weren't. TFA fails.
You have completely lost me. I have no idea what you're trying to say.Science doesn't need religion. However, rational people, the people that tend to value science, can't simply ignore the dangerous thinking going on in the minds of religious people. Religious faith spawns foolishness, violence and cruelty.
Again, I will try to explain. I'm posing the question: When will scientists stop beating a dead horse to death. The horse is dead!!!!! but scientists keep on beating it. Why do they continue beating and writing silly articles about the beating they are giving it, because they derive attention, authenticity and authority from this struggle with religion. In other words, I'm saying that science derives meaning from its parasitic relationship with religion, which is a disgustingly petty way to go about existing.

What you fail to realize is that, no, coming up with some bizarre story about how when you die you spirit goes up into the sky and if you are bad you burn in fire is ignorant, and clinging on to these irrational beliefs is laughable. I am raising myself up above animal instinct by being aware that I really don't know what is going on, and can admit to it, as opposed to trying to force this fairy tale on other people.
