Sorry - that's not true. It's not like physicist have a charter that says "only count this stuff as part of the Universe - ignore this other stuff". The term "universe" is intended to mean "everything" - there's no "outside" the universe. The very notion of "inside" and "outside" the universe is a false dichotomy. If there's something "outside", then the thing we're talking about isn't the universe.Furthermore, if the gods are outside the universe, in such a way that physicists can't study them, then *nobody* can possibly know anything about them, in any way. Which reverts to the position that all religions are simply made up. As an atheist, I can live with that.
"Then again from a Creator creation perspective, coincidently this is nothing less than a perfect arrangement."Yes and no. Because then it boils down to the question whether it's valid to seek answers that lie outside this 'universe'. In my opinion, it's not. You can't start by asking logical questions about ourselves and then actually settling for an illogical answer.Humans use logic to perceive the world. It's inherently a part of who we are. And just like math, I believe it's to be taken as a whole, without exceptions. That doesn't mean logic is absolute.. and it doesn't mean God doesn't exist. What it means is : Humans shouldn't believe in God.
How sad. The same simpletons that have faith the sun is going to rise in the morning, their heart will be beating and that the gravitational pull will keep them on earth, somehow need God himself to come down and knock on their door and introduce himself before they'll believe. This is what passes for science in the 21st century? Small minded people are frightening.
discussing this has become so boring now.people are going to believe in fairytales. so let them. just get to their children before they do.go teachers!
Does anyone actually think that much (if not most) of what you consider "science" is greatly faith based? Just the fact that you believe what you read is an act of faith, whatever the source. But more specifically, macroevolution, ok, let's just say any popular (or unpopular) theory is based on assumptions that just cannot be "proven", however much it may seem evident. To say that science is different than faith is not only ignorant, it's idiotic. Science is built on faith.
This really needs to be said.Atheists - please, just let people believe what they want to. Live and let live, and stop acting like your beliefs are superior to anyone else's.
Oh something else I forgot to mention, if the earth was so old why do they still find carbon -14 in not only once living organisms, but wait for it, get this, traces of carbon -14 are even found in diamonds. This blows right out of the water that diamonds were made over millions and billions of years. No, diamonds have been made over earth's history from dieing and rotting vegetation over thousands of years, compressed with water, soil deposits etc and the weight eventually making diamonds. They can't be more than 1000's of years old otherwise all the carbon -14 would have depleted by now if this took millions of years. Now tell me which view is the science supporting on this? Totally tears to pieces your scientific theories, nutjob
Yes! I completely agree. I admit that in some religious people there is a lot of ignorance about science. But (especially on this comment page) there is a lot of ignorance about religion. It's ridiculous. I mean, don't you think it would be hard to have someone tell you right to your face that your cherished beliefs are merely foolish and that you are an imbecile for believing in them, just because they don't understand them. Believe or not there are religions out there that prove that Science and Religion can co-exist. There are Thousands, if not Millions, of different religions in the world, and one can not put a stereo-type on the word Religion in this day and age without being ignorant and insulting someone.I agree that this picture is funny but the joke only works with some religions. Not religion in general

We aren't all idiots... if you want to be a "scientist" and check out all the facts before coming to a conclusions, listen to this... all the way through. God Bless. ;) http://www.foresthill.org/uploads/documents/01.28.07.mp3

The author has mentioned very much a vital topic today. It seems to me that the problematics of this clause enables to reflect and draw conclusions. You can as to look sites in Russian which mention this theme: http://www.rolid.org http://www.se-ua.com

Seriously, how many religions or people do you actually know that still believe Greek Mythology is Fact?

If you don't believe in what the people who are "pushing" their views on you believe, then why should you care about what they're telling you.
