redgreenandblue.org — Yesterday, several more groups were added to the growing list of organizations that stand behind Senator Obama’s claim that properly inflated tires can indeed reduce gasoline consumption. Speaking on behalf of these groups, and helping to launch the EcoDriving initiative was John McCain supporter Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I also live in CA and I have to agree that overall Governor Schwarzenegger has been doing a great job. The recent wildfires have hit us pretty hard. I think that Schwarzenegger responded well. He really is the best Governor we have had in a long time because he actually gets things done.

Oh please, every day I got to digg I see some new article about how Obama's tires idea is good. Read all the comments on here, people are eating this s**t up. It isn't that he said this that people are angry, it's that he makes it SUCH a huge new idea that I am personally angered by it. He seems like he takes credit for the idea. People have been doing this since the wheel could be inflated.

How did Obama become the dumbass? I keep my tires inflated and I am anything but a dumbass. Its pretty straight forward.Personally, I like that fact that McCain is giving away tire gauges. A tire gauge is USEFUL! When the republicans are actually doing something useful for you you grab it! Take that free tire gauge and used it! It could be a long time till they are next useful to you.

Is the McCain camp and their allies so desperate that their only tactic is to attack the other candidate with lies and distortions? Is there nothing positive they can say about their own candidate? It is appearing that their candidate is too weak to stand on his own merits, requiring them to resort to propaganda and vicious attacks against his opponent. SMOKE AND MIRRORS, "MY FRIEND"

Properly inflated tires WOULD save as much for a certain period (say 10 years). Given our current production rates for gas from crude, come on! Did Obama specify the time length he was saying his statement would hold true? Or are you assuming he assumed FOREVER just to spawn an argument?I could do the same thing you are stating to McCain, "King of flip-flopping"

It could blow the tire out if you're driving on the highway long enough on a warmer day.
