nbc17.com— The title of the story is actually "High School Bans American Flag" but that isn't accurate because the ban applies to flags from any country.

Does anyone have a link to a credible cite that gives details of the UK National Government banning the display of the Union Jack or St George's Cross?
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_the_United_Kingdom :"The Union Flag can be flown by any individual or organisation in England, Scotland or Wales on any day of their choice. Legal regulations restrict the use of the Union Flag on Government buildings in Northern Ireland. Long-standing restrictions on Government use of the flag elsewhere were abolished in July 2007."So there are no restrictions except for Northern Ireland, and that's only for government.

If I was in school that is one thing I would protest, I would wear the flag.
