He better hope successful use of the phrase "You'll never work in this town again" doesn't apply to publishers, or they may prevent him from ever making a reasonable amount of money on things he makes.
Well, you basically supported what I said. I didn't imply there was no viable business model, I said that we would have to do away with big budget. There is absolutely no way to fund a $100 million movie from ads and product placement. Doing a movie theater release for like 3 weeks and then later do an online release sounds like a good plan though.
I can understand that this movie isn't for everyone. No car chases, no skin, no explosions, it's not your typical hollywood action flick. It's a documentary. If you don't care for documentaries, you won't like this. I loved it. I admit that it took me more than one sitting to get through A Scanner Darkly, but there was something about it that made me keep going back. I thought it was a good flick. Thanks for making it so available.

I loved A Scanner Darkly. Thought it was unique and still paid homage to the original book. I'll probably download this and see how it is.
