Forgive me Mr Branson and Co. For I hate the idea that a space ship needs to have a front end that looks like the inside of a salt shaker. The need for windows is almost antiquated for a space craft. Use that wonderful circular hull area in front of the pilot and place a dual layer LCD display that the first layer can polarize to block out sunlight and act as a backdrop to a heads-up display LCD screen layer. Generously place many sensors across the ship, of various detection spectrum bandwidths. I hear SONY PlayStation CPU's do a fine job of image processing, well enough for a missile, so why not a ship?. Have the control system display a pretty false colour 3D representation of 1)the flight path of the ship 2) objects in the area 3) ship status. Emotiv has a cool mind reading device that can be used by a pilot to administer control functions by only thinking about it. My humble suggestions. Otherwise, Good Luck!
Street navigation equipment sucks. However, their handheld mapping GPS units and all of their aviation units are top notch. I fly with the 430 and 530 units on occasion, and fly regularly with a 396. I have a 60CSx for hiking and biking and it's fantastic.
