And on the shallow side of this story - $50,000 to redecorate an office?I hope they mean the whole office suite. I have worked with and for decorators and architects and I think $50,000 is a fairly large budget for a no construction, re-decorating job in Alaska.A sitting governor should have been able to gt the goods at at least wholesale, if not better, and most municipalities have a scale limit for paying for painters, carpenters and such, working on government properties.

Have you seen the photos of the Wasilla Town Hall building? I don't know why anyone would pay $50,000 to redecorate a room inside that building. It makes no sense...
