With a town that small, how could you POSSIBLY not have ties with almost everyone?That said, it still smells fishy...and not because of the proximity to the lake...Wish I had contractor "friends"
this is kind of stupid, its just wild accusatins with no proof, so who cares is Palin built a house and actual friends helper her build it, its not like it cost the tax payer money.
I guess you've never heard of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, which have been enabled by the Democrats to take over the mortgage industry?? I wouldn't expect an Obama supporter to be informed.Go ahead and blame the Republicans for deregulation. It was Bill Clinton who signed the bill in '99 that dergulated the banking industry. And your own precious Joe Biden voted "yes" on that to, along with the Republicans. But Republicans actually tried to clean of Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae. Democrats stalled on regulating their personal cash cows. Your precious Obama got more than $100K from Freddie Mac, but now claims innocence of the housing fiasco. I know a little something about municipal government, and a $20 million debt is not unusual in a high-growth city. Moreover, the citizens voted on the bond, and they got something of real value: a sports facility. You think they might be happy with that? It's a pretty long winter in Alaska with nothing to do. Don't they deserve to have somewhere to go?What did Obama do with the millions in pork for his district? I hear they still haven't built that "gazebo" ... and the slum projects are still slum projects... why don't you ask residents there if they're happy living in places that have been condemned for health code violations???
