woai.com — It's against the law for landlords to discriminate based on the color of a person's skin. But can they reject you because of what's on your skin? Some San Antonio apartment complexes are refusing to rent to people with tattoos and body piercings.

In the libertarian view of the world, this is completely acceptable. The idea goes that the "market" will sort out discrimination. If you took this scenario too its logical conclusion, you would have a more segregated society than we have now. Let the libertarian screaming begin...

If I had LIBERALS SUCK tattooed on my forehead, then and only then would it be ok to ban smacktards from renting an apartment. I applaud these landlords.

I'm sorry, what is that thing about 'freedom of association' in the Constitution? f**k, what was that? Can you help mediablitz? I seemed to have forgotten about it.You see, mediablitz is one of these guys who believes it is okay to use FORCE on others, as long as 'he' believes it is for a good cause. I want health care, so it's okay to FORCE everyone else to pay for it. I want no one ever to discriminate so it's okay to use FORCE on those who 'I' believe are discriminating. You're a f**king genius mediablitz, f**king genius.

Hey, these folks may be completely wrong to pre-judge anyone, but prejudice (i.e. pre-judging) should not be illegal. Freedom of Association also means freedom to not associate. But there are ways to expose this type of behavior, such as getting the word out. If a restaurant in my area discriminated against blacks, or women, or others, then I also have the right not to give them any business. Eventually, this discrimination will hurt these businesses, but that still does not mean we should FORCE them to not discriminate, because then we are violating their rights to associate.
