Since the monitor has two USB ports on the side... you would actually be adding an extra port... so you could get a USB toaster too. ;)

that would be absolutely correct. my 15" lcd (i know, it's old, and it's only a temp replacement for my 19" crt that started turning yellow-green intermittently lol) requires 3.33 amps @ 12v. if usb delivered even a third of that, it'd be dangerous. USB 2.0 provides 500mA of power at usually around a 5.25v max.

Under the cons the analog's connection is very blurry...wtf. So they gave it the ability to go through USB, but weakened the analog capability. Good idea using the USB tho because the wires are much thinner compared to the big vga/dvi cables. We need gaming benchmarks.
