Tobey Maguire quote:"To me it seems like this is a natural point for the team to break up because we have a lot of story conclusions that were going along for the main characters for the first two movies and we kind of tie almost everything up for the third movie. It feels like a trilogy to me and it feels like the end."And Kirsten has already indicated that she's not interested in returning if both Sam and Tobey don't return.Besides, Tobey may be getting too old for the role. He's 32 now. If it takes 3 years between releases (as it did between S-M 2 & 3), Tobey would be 41 by the time the sixth installment was released. As much as I love Spider-Man, it may be time to give the franchise a rest until they can find another director who has as much vision as Raimi does. You don't have to look farther than the Batman franchise to see what happens when the studios bring in replacement teams, not because they've got the right mix of talent, vision, and story, but because they feel that there's still money left on the table. I don't think ANYBODY wants to see the studio make the Spider-Man equivalent of "Batman & Robin".
THIS NEWS IS NOT TRUE.I was there at the press junket she's talking about (the movie was a lot of fun, BTW). Sam Raimi never confirmed ANYTHING. Somebody SAID that Avi Arad confirmed 4, 5, 6, and then asked Raimi if he'd be interested. Raimi said it all depends on whether there's a good story to tell, and if he was asked to do it or not.The person asking the question was just trying to get the inside scoop, so he forced out answers that weren't there. He had previously asked producer Avi Arad about whether another trilogy was happening, and if they'd continue with Maguire or Raimi, or create a whole thing, etc. But Arad didn't give any sort of definitive answer. He just said, "It all depends."And that's literally the answer to all rumors like these. Except instead of just saying, "It all depends," they should add, "On money."Also, the person who started this rumor is Heather Newgen. You want to see who she is? This person is an idiot.

Whatever dude, he's still a great actor, I don't really care if he's a scientologist or not (as long as he doesn't force it on us).
