beyondtheblog.wordpress.com — Sacred geometry is an ancient system of design and building based upon the harmonic relationship between man, nature and the universe. Virtually ignored by modern architects and designers, it was central to most ancient societies.

Yes, what I said, salts are preservatives."The salt-like substance natron dried out and preserved more flesh than bone."<a class="user" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mummies#Ancient_Egypt">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mummies#Ancient_Egypt</a>Secondly, "NO, their is not "fire" in the middle of a pyramid." would be incorrect. Grammar Nazi = FAIL.

Quite a few of those pyramid things seem to be fairly well built.

Educated Greeks and Romans (that is to say, the ones that wrote/translated/modified the stories) did not take their myths literally. Perhaps the "average" Roman did, just like the "average" American may believe that Jesus rose from the dead, brought the dead back to life, turned water into wine, etc. The truth is that the ancient Greek and Roman myths, just like the Biblical myths which borrow from those same stories, were written to safely transmit various information - whether it is astronomical, mathematical, metaphysical, moral, etc. They can mean different things to different people. Ancient people were certainly not stupid, not any more than modern people, although their scientific knowledge may have been less complete. You are correct that mathemetical and geometric patterns are just "simple properties". That's the fundamental idea of sacred geometry - that the knowable universe does seem to have certain characteristics, and laws, which can be defined through geometry and math. I think most of the controversy comes when people or groups of people, try to assign additional properties or abilities to these harmonic laws, that's where the "magic" comes in as you say. Or to put it another way, sacred geometry and sacred math are the basis of modern math and science. They are also the basis of occult and metaphysical explorations, whether you consider them science or not. The Freemasons are one of those groups that seems to believe that these harmonic characteristics (of which pi and e are examples) do have additional properties or powers - although what they believe those powers or properties to be, I don't know, but the importance and obsession that they have with them (rather than the purely utilitarian approach that mathematics takes with them) seems to imply this.Just my opinion of course. I do agree that the article is poor and not nearly as informative as it could have been.

This reads like a 3rd grade book report. Buried.

"Action/Results: Tory, Scottie and Kari build a bunch of pyramids for this myth. They chop an apple in half (with a dirty saw blade), and put one half inside a pyramid, and one half outside the pyramid. They also cut a rosebud in half, and place one half in a pyramid and one half outside. Then they pour two glasses of milk. One goes in a pyramid, one stays out. They also chop a razor blade in half, and put one half in the pyramid, and one half out.Tory also puts his face on the line for this myth by shaving each day with two razors - one kept in a pyramid, and one kept out of the pyramid. He shaves the right side of his face with the pyramid razor, and the left side with the other. All of the samples are aligned to magnetic North and raised so that they are all the same height - about 1/3 of the way up in the pyramid. The samples outside of the pyramids are raised and aligned as well, just to keep all the variables the same.At the end of 15 days, the results are as follows:Both halves of the rose were equally dried out. Both containers of milk had maggots. Both razor blades were equally dull, as seen with a scanning electron microscope at the California Academy of Sciences."
