washingtonpost.com — Bristol Palin's pregnancy may be the ultimate teachable moment. It just might not be the lesson that John McCain intended. My first thought on hearing the news was: What was Sarah Palin thinking? Assuming, as the campaign says, that she knew about her 17-year-old's pregnancy and informed McCain in advance, how could she expose her daughter to this?

Sarah Palin is not yet the official Republican VP nominee, and she will not be. It will be Mitt Romney.

All around bad judgment from both McCain and Palin. They aren't change. Just more of the same.

Sarah Palin is against sex education in schools. Her party policy advocates 'abstinence only.' - this has to be the stupidest, most narrow minded view I have been privy to.It's like the prohibition, a waste of time and money. Kids are going to have sex, so deal with it - the only thing you can do is educate them and hope that they make mature decisions as a result; other than that it's entirely up to them.
