Russia has thousands of nuclear missiles. If they wanted to attack, they would and easily overwhelm the missile defense. It would shoot down the first several missiles, and the remaining few dozen would easily make it to their target. That's why it's targeted at countries like Iran that don't have thousands, or even hundreds to launch.

The missile defense system is more accurately called the "anti-ballistic missile system." The United States just signed a deal to put a bunch of short range missiles on Russia's border, so if the United States enters a war with Russia guess who Russia will take out first.Even Condi Rice is far from saying this is a Russian threat. This is a Russian strategic promise based on common sense. It doesn't help that the United States doesn't really have an ABM system capable of stopping an ICBM, so between this and the upgrade of Poland's land-to-land systems, one must remain cautious about why the United States wants to put missiles on Russia's border that aren't reasonably expected to actually stop incoming missiles.Speaking of propaganda.

Gumby would have ended up with high approval ratings after 9/11. The American people rally around the president during such times. It doesn't excuse his lack of response during the actual attack. And McCain is being led by a Georgian lobbyist. Of course he is going to protect his income. McCain also has a history of animosity to Russia. Although he is not diplomatic about his hatred, his distrust is obviously understandable. I was disappointed in Obama's response but he is not currently in a position to do much about it. With his current title of Junior Senator from Illinois it would have been inappropriate to do much more than issue the statement that he did. He rightly let the sitting president handle the situation.

I hate to repeat myself...I say:"Certainly, US have no good reason to invade Iraq, neither does it to invade Iran. But Russia has no good reason to invade Chechnya or Georgia either, but somehow you seem to ignore that fact and allow Russia to do what they want, while saying that West needs to drown some lines." You reply:"Its funny how US people defend their interest but when some other country defend theirs its considered us naked aggression. "So basically I say, that US actions against Iraq or future actions against Iran are the same that Russian actions against Georgia or Chechnya. And I state it's funny you allow one and condemn the other. Then what do you do? You wrongly assume that I condemn the opposite one (while I clearly wrote I don't like both) and say that it's funny how people don't allow one country to defend their interests while allowing the other one to do that... and you basically do just that from the start - US has no right to attack Iraq, Russians can attack Georgia or Chechnya."Terrorism, drug smuggling, unstable government. "Please, oh, please, what terrorist actions did Georgians organize? Drug smuggling, definitely, many drugs were smuggled through Ossetia from Russia to Georgia... wait, that's not good for your point, just forget about it. Unstable government? You mean those governments constantly thrown out of balance by Russian interventions? That's self fulfilling excuse, clever. "While you sit infront of TV and watch you propoganda, "So you were saying? Side note, I seldom watch TV."Russians deal with their apartments getting blown up"Blown up by neither Chechens nor Georgians, but what the hell stops you from bringing that up, right? "genocide from Georgians in Ossetia,"You do realize that you're using a word which meaning eludes you?"Beslan/Nord-Ost hostage situation from Chechen extremists just to name a few."Hmm... let's see. The last war in Chechnya started in 1999 (and still lasts actually). Beslan situation happened on 2004, Nord-Ost on 2002... Whatever, obviously Russians have foreseen it, so they had every right to engage in two wars in Chechnya over events that not yet happened. At least, try to get your facts and logic right, OK?

There is no way Russia is feeling threatened by a handful of intercepters vs. its newly upgraded ICBM Arsenal. It sounds like Russia might be back some other state to do its dirty work if need be by launching a "rogue missile".

Please cancel any such plans. We don't need any more liberals in this country, we have enough already.
