He doesn't believe it will destroy the country. He hates Obama because it means the Republicans lost, and to a black man. He won't ever stop, because this isn't a basic difference of political ideologies. It's a matter of hating "the other guy."

You got that wrong. It is the "douchebags" who claim Rush is the leader of Republican party... you know, like Rahm Emanuel... and you. Rush is a Conservative, not just a Republican, and he makes that distinction. But I wouldn't expect you to know anything about politics. Clearly the White House is "campaigning", making Rush out to be representative of the Republican party and trying to fool an easily fooled public, painting him as a wildly controversial unconstructive figure.

I don`t see where Rush says the country will fail in any way besides the fact that it`ll go against what HE wants for the country. If the policy succeeds he doesn`t think it will eventually lead to more job losses or more ppl dying or anything like that. He believes it will lead to a more liberal society and THAT is what he thinks is a failed country. He doesn`t care how many jobs or lives may be saved if the country goes more liberal, it will still be a failure to him because it`s not his worldview.Same thing with the whole gay marriage thing. It doesn`t matter if gay marriages aren`t a threat to homosexual marriages and won`t destroy the country. The simple fact that there are gay marriages = the country is destroyed to these ppl.

Then you're not paying attention. Did you notice that he's bringing back the assault weapons ban? Notice that he's not banning actual assault rifles... those are already banned. The bill redefines the term "assault rifle" to mean hunting rifles that look scary.
