mobile.newsforge.com — No, really! You can do it. This story explains how to install (very easily) Asterisk on OpenWrt, and how to configure it to end up with your very own personal PBX. Includes a download of the infamous "has been carried away by monkeys" greeting.

Why does he need Asterisk on OpenWrt on a Linksys anyway? It looks like the only advantage is the funny message. Why doesn't he just use the 101 phone by itself? And why doesn't he use a blog I can post a message to? That one just kicks me out each time, it sucks!

The best voip provider is Broadvoice. I am a user of their service and It rocks! Pick the in your state all you can call for 9.50 a month plus fees. You get unlimited incoming calls and unlimited outgoing in your state of your choice. And you also get 3way calling, call waiting, caller id, start 69, etc. for the same price. And another thing, their international rates are super low. Very reliable service! Check them out at broadvoice.com.If you get their service, use my user id as referral: halfbrainj. I hope it works out for you tooo!
