Muhahaha. I am in line at game stop, i just got here. It is about 6:15 and I am sixth in line, bidding shall start at 9:30. phew my spot in line is like the last garaunteed spot.

Got mine at the EB in Bloomington, Indiana, I was 6th in line an hour before open. Hope I end up getting one. I can say that the store I was at well oversold it's quota as they had 20 positions open and a few people were turned away.There were like 20 people at the Gamestop, I think people have no idea that they're the same company.

I'm excited about the PS3 release. It's going to be fun watching all the Digg stories in the near future about hardware failures and overheating problems. :) On a side note, there is a very good chance I'll be able to walk into Target and pick up a Wii without waiting in line, preordering or being an employee of Gamestop/EB Games.

CANADIANSCan confirm that this ps3 limited pre-order does not apply to us.Was about to drive in to my local EB this morning until traffic was insane and I gave up.Called them when store opened.He said no, then I asked him where I could find the canadian EB website then and he said that doesn't exist.WTF

Well Its true, but you also know is just not possible, actually by november more than half of the entire "worldwide" PS3 production, will already be sold. And I seriously doubt they cant sell 200,000 units.

It's around 5 pm. Out of curiosity, I called several EBgames and Gamestop stores. All of them have no more ps3s available. The people I spoke with said they were sold out in the first 20 minutes. I called stores in the northern Virginia area and stores in Maryland and they all said the same thing. It's not really a big surprise to me though.I asked them about the wii as well. I could only get two answers out of them, "I don't know," or "I can't tell."

I was watching an auction on a PS3 that ran to $750 (reserve not met)before it was pulled. I got a preorder this a.m. from EB and it the receipt made clear there is no guarantee I get one if Sony has any problems. I would not list it until I knew I had one in my hands. I will however keep the one I get and try to get a few more to sell any way I can as this will be the hot launch of the year.
