We need to either "crap or get off the pot."Either we use overwhelming force to eradicate the insurgents and rebuild (like we did in Germany after WW2), or we cut and run (like we did in Vietnam).Trying to fight a "nice" war isn't going to work, and this is what the administration is doing. This is why it fails. Nice wars don't exist. If they did, we wouldn't have to fight in them.

Didn't you hear? Halliburton found a way out of their mess by getting rid of one of Cheney's mistakes. http://www.internetwasteland.com/?p=65

@tehbishopIraq is not Vietnam. Reasons why include:1.) Vietnam had direct assistance from the USSR, one of the world's two superpowers at the time. Iraqi insurgents are not receiving assistance from a world superpower.2.) In Vietnam, the US Army was conscripted (drafted). In Iraq, it is volunteer (no draft).3.) The Viet Cong knew how to shoot. The Iraqi insurgents can't hit the broad side of a barn, which is one of the reasons why they like to use bombs instead of trying to shoot it out with coalition troops.4.) In Vietnam, the VC were effective at attacking American infantry at night. In Iraq (thanks to night-vision goggles), the insurgents are the ones that get attacked.5.) Jungle works well for guerrilla warfare, desert works well for counter-guerrilla warfare. And so on.

Where is the accountability here? We started a war on false made up reports of MWD's, killed 2000+ American youngsters, 100,000+ Iraqi civilians, and It's not JUST ONE IDIOT, it's the way of life you as Americans voted for. EAT s**t. God bless Jesus f**kers.
