kotaku.com — CC guy: "I work at Circuit City and we're supposed to be doing a company wide re-launch of the Wii on Sunday, December 3rd. My store is getting 54 units, which is slightly above the average of 40 or so, and every Circuit is getting between 15 and 132 consoles. "

So after reading everything here, should I be standing in line tonight (Thursday) to try and get one tomorow (Friday) from my local Gamestop or EB Games? Or will they be holding theirs untill Sunday?

To stop eBay scalping, ppl just need to stop buying overpriced items when they know the can get them for the right price just by waiting a few weeks. That sounds like common sense to me, but some people just have money to waste.I was living in Japan for a few time, and when a game device is new and rare the shops only allow to buy 1 item per person, to avoid parallel market. No such a rule in US shops?

He said they are still shooting for the 4M target in their financial projections. That's different from what you said.

Went to Target this morning here in southwest PA. Got there at 7AM. Worker came out and said they only had 27 wiis. I was 36 so nothing for me. A girl with a ticket offered to sell hers for $50. No takers when I was there. Said to the guy behind me I'm moving on to the next store. He was surprised I was leaving. I'm thinking, "Yeah, they only have 27!" Went to another Target and got in line. A little shorter here so maybe I had a chance. Wrong, they only had 28. Missed it by 3. Although they had tickets for 3 PS3s. No one took them. They probably sold after I left though. So I was off to Toys-R-Us. They open an hour later so there's hope. Got in line and was 26. A girl and guy from the Target I was just at got behind me. A lady towards the front said they have 32! Eureka! Finally lucked out. Manager came out handed us tickets, led us inside out of the cold, locked the door and pulled down the shades. She was selling them to us early before she opens up. Cool. We could see a line growing again outside. People peaking in and knocking, "Let us in." Manager had to tell them they were all spoken for. They shuffled away. I kind of felt bad...for a minute. Picked up my wii, a few games, headed home and back to bed. Just finished wrapping them up and so they await Christmas morning.
