gamedrift.com— It may turn out to be just a rumor, but now at least you have something to set on that giant countdown clock in your room (or is that just me with the giant Halo 3 countdown clock?).

correction boofster. you cannot play a FPS with a mouse. lags alot, online servers are always slower and not everybody has up-to-standard graphics cards.hacks and cheats are always easier to find/create for a pc, therefor ruining the gameplay. halo was by far the best FPS in awhile, besides RBS vegas. and if it wasnt so good, it wouldnt be so popular. halo 3 will set the bar for each platform, just like the first 2 did.
I'd think they would want to separate it from GTA4 (October 16) by a bit more. If I were MS I would want to get it out before GTA in order to sway the millions of people that will make the next gen jump for it.To all you PC gamer whiners - grow up. I agree mouse+kb is better for shooters, and half life is a better game than Halo. I know it's irritating to learn to play a shooter with sticks because you suck for a while, but you're gonna have to suck it up and learn. If you don't get over it, you're only going to be limiting yourself to afterthought ports and the occasional Crysis-like tech demo game. Epic, Id and Valve are all moving to the 360 and the PC just gets a port because it's not very expensive. Other than MMOs the money in PC games has shrunk dramatically, and it makes less and less sense to pour millions into developing a truly PC oriented shooter.

Fact Check:Halo 1 was released on Thursday, November 15th, 2001:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halo:_Combat_EvolvedHalo 2 was released on Tuesday, November 9th, 2004:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halo_2Generally games like movies are released on Tuesdays, but that doesn't mean it can't deviate.Personally I have predicted since a couple months after the release of halo 2, that Halo 3 would be released on the Tuesday of the first or second week of November. I still expect it to be either Novemeber 6th or 13th.
