siliconera.com — There?s more in store for Blue Dragon?like a sequel and a DS iteration. Magic Box and C3 both posted rumors regarding a possible sequel to Blue Dragon that?s dependent on its U.S. sales. In other words, good 360 sales = DS version.

maybe if we could buy Blue Dragon in the US they would fly off the shelves.

I think they should make a DS version of Blue Dragon, regardless. If the game was any good, not only would it sell well on the DS, but it might even persuade some more Japanese gamers to purchase an Xbox 360.

I cant even FIND a DS and its making me CRAZY

Thats it, release a game on the #1 platform in Japan by a LANDSLIDE, to promote a completely unrelated machine by a rival company that sits at #5.BRILLIANT. [/sarcasm]

@JefflerI realize you're being a sarcastic jerk, but that is definitely not what I meant. I didn't mean slap a sticker on the box that says, "buy Blue Dragon on the Xbox 360!!" Use a little logic. What I meant is that people who enjoy Blue Dragon on the DS might decide to buy an Xbox 360 so they could play the 360 version.

I, for one, will be buying this game when it comes out. It sounds awesome.I'll buy it for the DS as well.

Rare games are published by Microsoft too, but they've been releasing a few games for the DS and GBA lately.

Shouldn't it be "if the 360 versions DOESN'T sell well enough"??I mean, the DS has a magnitude higher user installed base in Japan (and the US) than the 360. Moving to the DS was what Enix did with Dragon Quest VIII. And where Enix goes, the other RPG developers soon follow.Though there is that little issue of Microsoft owning the publishing rights to the game. They would likely have to be the publisher for the DS version, like ASH and Banjo Kazooie DS.
