Sure digg me down, but please correct me if I'm mistaken. If you just digg me down it sends the message that you disagree but can't refute what I've said. I hate TMZ and celebrity bulls**t, but other than things marked as a rumor I have heard it's quite reliable. If I'm wrong I'd love to know why, because that's the only way I can expand my knowledge.
Why all the negativity? Amazon in my opinion is up there with the likes of google when it comes to a great infrastructure and a great company. A merger of Netflix + Amazon would see two of the best companies combine forces; you have the great fresh minds of Netflix with their great infrastructure, along with the power + customer service of Amazon. We are talking possible integration with other services/products, assuredly a better instant streaming catalog, and many many other ideas that wouldn't be possible without a big backer like Amazon. Think about what happened when Google absorbed Youtube. A lot of people forget that there was a ton of commotion about that, but look where it got us. Tons and tons of HD videos, redesigning for the better, integration with google accounts, things that wouldn't have thought to been possible. Of course competition is good but there IS no competition between the two of them. Netflix is primarily rents physical media and Amazon streams media to your livingroom. Netflix has always been behind the curve on streaming, and Amazon has been behind the curve on renting physical media. They currently do game trade-ins which have proved to be a big success, and this would only help them move further in that direction. Acquiring Netflix would be a great decision for both companies.
Netflix laid me off with a lot of other good techs. I could speak bad of the company but will not. Instead let me put forth this; If amazon bought Netflix, i have a feeling that the service would suffer. I have found BB has a bigger selection then Netflix.
