thinkprogress.org — Today, Karl Rove gave a media interview at an IHOP in Waco, Texas. During that interview, he says, "There will be time for regrets; there will be things that I didn’t do as well as I should have, there will be things that I’ve left undone. The one instance he concedes was a mistake was when he said "something unkind" to a co-worker.

Yeah, seriously... I don't get what he's talking about either.

He didn't make any mistakes. His candidate is still in office and he's yet to be charged with any crime. He didn't even get fired. Whether he stayed within the law or not, whether you like the guy or not, admit that the guy is a master at his job

the fact that we have to diistinguish between which is most immoral says all you havea to know about him. And yeah, his straight-talk back in '99 and '00 was quite impressive-on more democratic funding of elections, etc. I am largely liberal and I guess I disagreed with the guy about abortion and cap punishment, but I admired his willingness to shake up the GOP. Since Rover hammered him, he hasn't been the same. He's become a good soldier. It's political Stockholm Syndrome.

No...because that would require him to have friends.

Like they said with Hitler, the trains still ran on time.

@toddcat (Can't go past the 5 level limit)The thing is, Jesus did associate with sinners, but he didn't ever tell, them, hey keep on sinning and it'll be fine. He did encourage people to stop sinning. Jesus said "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Well a doctor doesn't say "I know your sick but I just want to be there for you, but we're not going to actually try and change anything. Mkay?" So not accepting a behaviour (regardless of the motivation of that behaviour) as not sinful isn't the same as hate.

Since when are interviews of former politicians conducted at IHOP?

Rove looks like Jabba the Hutt from StarWars. His biggest mistake was endangering CIA agents in the field. His grandfather's biggest mistake was running a Nazi death camp.

It is pitiful that "winning" has become success, no matter how dirty or low you stoop to do it. If he were good at his job he could have succeeded without destroying everything he touched. Really successful people don't win by tearing down others. They win by being truly good at what they do.
