kansascity.com— CNN, Fox, and other media outlets will now need to modify their delegate totals - John McCain DOES NOT have the nomination!

"The delegates, who will attend the GOP convention in Minneapolis this September, are still expected to vote for Sen. John McCain on the first ballot, unless party rules change." Actually, he still has these three, at least in the first round.
"Under the compromise, potential Paul delegates agreed to sign a pledge to follow party rules, including the current rule binding them to the winner of Missouri’s presidential primary — McCain."So it seems nothing has changed and McCain will indeed get the nomination.
Looks like MO was proactive enough to actually require the pledged delegates to vote for the candidate that the people chose. Luckily by 2012 this will be the rule in all 50 states, so any more "r3VOLutions" trying to pull unethical guerilla tactics will have to stay home and cry about it more.
Yeah...that is the best part. Because these idiots went against Ron Paul's own wishes and tried to do this, now, after they fail miserably, BOTH the GOP and Democracts will change their primary rules in hte next 4 years. EVERY state will be bound, with harsh penalties...and most will be bound for at least two rounds. So, in trying to get a guy wit 5% support nominated, they have made it IMPOSSIBLE for itto ever happen, even if say, they had a candidate that actually DID have some real support, but barely lost. Under the current rules, a candidate that managed to earn, say, 500 delegates may actually have been able to steal the nomination (and then lose by a landslide in November) but after the rule changes, it will be impossible to disenfranchise the voters ever again. As it should be.
I understnad with most of them, since they are kids...but how can a 41 year old man, like this submitter is, be so clueless about how the process works, and actually think that Ron Paul will get those votes? Dude...you'vebeenthrough FIVE election years now. Maybe 6 depending on your birthday. How can you not understand how it works?

The funny thing is that they think that Ron Paul approves of what they are trying to do. He, of course, does NOT.
