@Alheithinn ..If we had a Libertarian President and an ICBM was headed towards the US he would call a meeting later that week to see if there is anything constitutionally we could do about it!
Actually, I think you get buried and banned because you say things like "Zionist Nazis"Of course that term (insult?) doesn't even make any sense, but still, it's annoying as hell.
He'd likely have my vote, though I'm sure we'd disagree on some things. At this point, I'd vote for anyone who at least seemed to have a conscience. That's just how bad it is.In my district, we lost a Republican congressman who was good for local business, but took junkets on the taxpayer dime. We gained a Democratic congresswoman who has no understanding of business, but is entirely environmentally-focused. Neither one is that great. I'm such a centrist sometimes that it becomes impossible to decide what's the lesser of two evils. I voted for the defeated Republican because he voted against the bailout twice, yet, he squanders taxpayer money. I respect the environment, but I also understand that there has to be a balance between business and environment or you'll lose on both counts.I mean, if people are dirt poor, unemployed and desperate, they aren't going to give a s**t about the environment. I'm opposed to the government getting even more in taxes, because money corrupts. And this woman will likely raise taxes. She knows her base is environmentalists, so she'll probably be hostile to business. She already opposed an alternative energy plant and she's not even in office yet. I'm a scientist, I could get a job at that plant. I could make sure it meets or exceeds EPA standards. But everyone is so reactionary about hot-button issues, and maybe I'm guilty of that myself sometimes, but I come around.Anyways. I'm anxious as hell about what's going to happen to this country, locally and federally.
