You can also call your representatives. You'll be talking to a staffer or a machine, and it takes less time or energy than writing a letter. @dmseanI am a big supporter of legalizing marijuana and hemp, but saying "actually if you legalized weed, people would stop doing it. most do it cuz it's illegal" is absolute bulls**t. If it were legalized, weed would become more available and cheaper. If anything a lot MORE people would be doing it recreationally.
You didnt say it gets you high, but you sure as hell implied it when you said "more people would do it" and then compared it to drinking. Does making products out of hemp count as "doing it"?If you really want to bring up prohibition then you might want to take into consideration how organized crime was invented by prohibition, and how, similarly, organized crime is currently fueled by the drug war. And, this may sound like a very liberty-oriented thing to say (god forbid), but who the hell are you to say people shouldn't be doing drugs? Give people an ounce of freedom, please.
@ iamscrewed2007You are a truly screwed up individual if you think the government has the right to criminalize people who smoke pot then in the same breath condone aborting babies. f**king sweet Jesus Jones.
I believe you are right. Ron Paul is a nightmare to the Republican leaders that are really just Democrats masquerading as Republicans. They know that Ron Paul resonates with grass root Republicans. The last thing the Republicans leaders wish is for the voters to have a true conservative in the Presidential race. It might upset their cozy relationships with the Democrats.
Are you Republican? Vote for him in the primary, just to see what happens. Your vote will not be wasted, and if he "can't win," as many fools believe, you'll still have the cadre of politicians after the primary.
It's called: educated people with a passion for freedom and respect to the constitution.I sincerely believe that anyone, without bias, who actually learns about Ron Paul will understand why he is so popular. The problem for some is obviously that - learning is too much work! Lazy! Apathetic!
I think what you mean is: more people would rather smoke weed than drink alcohol. That's what happened with me. This is just another one of many reasons why cannabis is illegal - it would be very bad for the alcohol industry.

In case you haven't been reading the news: circumcision is a more effective means of AIDS defense than any current treatment.http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8473838/Plus? No smegma.
