And you have just proven how ignorant you are. Congratulations.

So basically, his argument doesn't boil down to implying that "it's better to have no checks for food or drug safety at all." Yet another straw man.

I work in scientific research, and not all "scientific" studies are created equal, BTW. Merck created a fake "peer-reviewed" journal (through Elsevier!) to publish its marketing claims. What the FDA is doing is not to eliminate lies, but to prohibit competition to the pharmaceutical industry that staffs it.

I'm just LMAO at these persons who call chiropractic "quackery". Especially the ones who say that it's "proven quackery" and then do not go on to prove anything.^.^Someone who has led enough of a real life to have harmed their back at least once knows differently. In my own case, it was chiropractic coupled with no small amount of exercise which straightened out the problem.

EndAntiSemitism wrote," ...but has been simply been denying the "natural remedies" pharma companies from being able to claim ..."Uhmmm, by all means correct me if I'm wrong here but my understanding is that "pharma companies" do not peddle natural remedies. Pharma companies are big guys having very special agreements with the U.S. government and they tend to steer clear of unaltered natural substances which cannot be patented.
