Because their zeal over their contention only causes strife against those that they don't agree with, even in the face of those that provide sound evidence against it. I have even been accused of "Being with them" over it when someone asked me about it. (I didn't even bring it up.)

I agree with your sentiment, but I think it's dangerous for you to say, "if Beck wants to keep his family safe then maybe he'll be more careful with his own words next time." People should be able to SAY anything they want. Words should be met with words. Death threats, to you and your family, are a whole new level.

As an outside observer I find Paul really interesting. Many people who study politics/international relations/global politics etc reach the conclusion that national governments in the current (and emerging) global environment, are becoming inadequate as they straddle between diverse local issues and sweeping global trends. In this respect, Paul, I think, represents state of the art modern political thought on how you organise a country, by looking to de-construct power in the federal government (eg dismantle the IRS) and leave it up to the smaller state government on how to fill the gap (e.g. in Welfare).But such a process works in both ways. And the understanding that both Ron Paul and this Beck guy show on multi national institutions is laughable. For example, the WTO has been one of the biggest contributors for the US economy in the sense that it systematically de-constructs barriers to trade accross the world, which has allowed US companies to trade across borders which would otherwise not be open. Basically, Ron Paul supporters (and Reps in general), get a grip. If you think the US can pull out of these global clubs and bumble along with multi lateral/bi lateral agreements/alliances, think again. It would just mean continued decline, whilst the rest of the world binds together, in mutual understanding that global issues (poverty,environment,human rights) needs a global solution.

If the American people demand an investigation into the events of you know when, then they should have one. I would have liked for Dr. Paul to have said that. Otherwise, he, of course, did a superb job, as always, because he is the real deal.
