youpolls.com — 'when fascism comes to this country, it will be wrapped in the flag, carrying a cross.' ---------->Do you agree with Ron Paul's characterization of Mike Huckabee, 'when fascism comes to this country, it will be wrapped in the flag, carrying a cross?.

Definition of "Fascism" -- "A form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation or victimhood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy and purity, in which a mass-based party of committed nationalist militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external expansion."In short, they claim to care about common people while oppressing them, they claim to be acting for the benefit of all while only protecting corporate elites, they claim to be for "law and order" while at the same time exempting themselves from the law, they start aggressive wars while claiming that they are only in self defense (see: "Gleiwitz incident", "Iraq War", "Gulf of Tonkin", "Reichstag Fire", "Operation Northwoods", "Mukden incident" ... in fact, see just about ANY war), and they claim to be the highest moral authority while acting in a manner which is inconsistent with the "ethic of reciprocity" (The golden rule). So yes, by my way of thinking, Huckabee is a fascist. Unfortunately, you cannot use the word "fascist" in the US, because most Americans are ignorant of history. To most people, "fascist" means "Nazi". And in turn, "Nazi" means "Jew killer". So if you aren't gassing Jews, you aren't a Nazi. And if somebody calls a politician a fascist, most people think that they are accusing the politicians of plotting to kill Jews, which is, of course, absurd. But Ron Paul wasn't saying that Huckabee wants to kill Jews. he was saying that Huckabee was a corporate shill, who will continue this corporate war in Iraq and will continue to weaken the rule of law in this country (the constitution), while at the same time shielding his irreprehensible and anti-christian behavior with a flag and a cross. I know what Ron Paul meant, but I doubt most of Fox News' viewers will. They don't remember that Mussolini, Pinochet, and Franco were also fascists, but weren’t overtly rascist. And they don't realize that corporate candidate Huckabee represents a form of psuedo-christian-fascism (Christian-Corporatism). However, Dr. Paul should have known better to use such and emotionally charge word in the campaign. Unless it was his intention to purposefully stir up a windstorm of controversy in order to prod Huckabee for a response. The best thing that could happen for Paul's campaign is to turn it into a Huckabee-vs-Paul contest. Both candidates say so many "outrageous" things, that the MSM won't be able to resist the urge to talk about them.

A woman who wants control over her body shouldn't have to move for it any more than a black person who wants to vote.

Not if the people might rise against them due to what would happen to them.

Your comment only demonstrates your ignorance about the role that government intervention into the free-market by means of corporate welfare, subsidies, lobbying practices, the treatment of corporation as "artificial persons" under the law, etc have played in allowing all of these mega-conglomerates to emerge in the first place and virtually take over the day-to-day political process in DC. Paul understands that increased government regulation and intervention in the marketplace over the long run ultimately ends up with a marraige of interests between big-business and big-government - in other words, fascism.
