informationparadox.blogspot.com— What has happened to our society when some of the most well educated people in our country do not accept this most basic and obvious of scientific theories?

Ron Paul is a strict Constitutionalist. He believes that a lot of things should not be mandated at the Federal level. That is fine. Unfortunately though he doesn't get that having a state say that you can't do X which is noboby's business but your own in their territory is still a violation of rights. Upholding rights is the only real justification for government. So turning a blind eye to state decisions would be a violation of those Constitutional principles he upholds. It is not within the legitimate power of any state to violate the freedom of the people who live in that state. I would expect a largely libertarian politician to get that. On the evolution thing we can't afford a president who denies basic fundamental biology or claims that the entire question is a "theological one'. I love Ron Paul. But that is way beyond my tolerance. I am changing my registration back to Libertarian. That is more honest anyway.
It matters because a person who trusts God and tells the truth is not a liar, a person who hates God and lies about him is a liar. An honest person is truthful. A liar is deceptive. Which type of person do you want for a president?
i agree, there are things that cannot be fully explained within the wire frame of current science - and I think it scares the s**t out of some people. but that's why science exists. to attempt to explain those things. If everything was apparent and clear science wouldn't exist, so why be frightened when the thing you put your confidence in (science) is doing it's job just right. sort of a catch 22 for those angry evolutionists if you think about it.

Can't. The logic for either is truly unprovable.

Genius. He can't go one way or another. The country is divided 50-50 on this, with more republicans accepting it.
