torrentfreak.com — The legendary Ron Jeremy has had enough of video streaming sites such as YouPorn and PornTube, that host pirated versions of his epic movies for free. Jeremy says adult content deserves the same respect as Hollywood?s majors do, and is happy that Vivid Entertainment is going after these sites.

i think the movie, gaming, and book industry have a much more legitimate beef w/ piracy than music. as a band, you can monetize in other ways via touring and merch, but you can't really do that with the others (yes, some movies can make merch, but 99% can't). if everybody is pirating, there is no revenue. if there's no revenue, there's no incentive to create or invest in new product. personally, i think content creators should get paid for their efforts, but i guess i'm in the minority these days.

In no particular order:1st, GET A NEW JOB! It's not up to to the world to finance something simply because people currently work to produce it.2nd, if individual piracy kills content creation, so be it as that is free market forces deciding if it's worth anything.3rd, piracy by individuals is NOT what causes losses that affect bottom lines because NOT EVERYONE PIRATES NOR WOULD THEY.4th, some people (and not just a small few) who have access to pirated materials STILL BUY LEGIT COPIES and those who do by ARE TREATED LIKE CRIMINALS PREVENTING SHIFTING OF CONTENT IN THE NAME OF "protecting" IT (see #6)!5th, there is a high volume of garbage content out there.6th, it's those factory ships mass-manufacturing bootlegs that are the real problem.7th, year after year we have record breaking box office revenues for the great movies, guess piracy is really killing them!8th, even where there are protections that work, prices don't drop, content creators cite "piracy" as the reason prices don't drop. Sound stupid? On and on, dead horse move along nothing important to see here!
