It bugs me when people complain because congress doesn't have their "kids" in the military. There kids aren't their property, they are human beings that make their own decisions. How would forcing their kids to be in the military be a good asset to a political figure? I'd like someone that let's me do what I want to do, not infringe on my civil liberties.
You said "you assume that Rudy's daughter is smart because a) she disagrees with her father's political beliefs, b) because she is not support a Republican, or c) because she supports a Democrat." I meant exactly what I said, not some paraphrase you cooked up. I didn't say I thought she was smart (although I suspect she is) I said I respect her for having her own opinions and being proud of it.Then you said "He was saying that this is what his son does to help out the military. What do you do to help out the military" How does campaigning for their dad help out the military? I help out the military by paying my taxes and being a friend to the disabled veterans I know. I don't believe in the war because (as I have stated numerous times elsewhere) I don't give a flying f**k about anyone in the middle east, including Israel, and think my country would do well to get out of their business.Finally, I'm not rigorously campaigning for anyone because I'm still not sure. RP comes closest to my beliefs but there's still some doubt and it's a long time till election day.Overall, you're the one displaying faulty logic.
I respect Rudy's opinions, I just don't want him to be my president. As for the girl, oh well, she should grow a spine and stand up like a grown woman.
