Well it didn't help that Fido was running themselves into the ground, dropping their prices to barely-profitable levels to gain subscribers in an effort to attract a buyer. Rogers successfully made the argument that buying them out was the only way to salvage the business, and the way things were going, they may have been right...Nonetheless, we need to allow some international GSM competitors into the game and quickly (hopefully the spectrum auction will take care of this.)
