engadget.com — Those kind, gentle Canadians have been oh-so-politely demanding a few heads on sticks ever since Rogers' super-spendy iPhone 3G price plans were announced. Well, apparently their cries have been heard, and now Rogers is launching a promotional offer along with the iPhone of 6GB of data for $30 a month -- not quite unlimited data, but close enough -

That's enough for me, I'd rather not pay $80-90 a month.

here are my thoughtsyou can add it to any plan(including your curent plan), so long as it's one of those plans availble from rogers.com you cannot add it to grandfathered plans or special plans that are no longer available.

HAHA Oh man I just called Fido I have a contract with them for 1 more year and they just told me I can't get the new iPhone 3G cause of the contract until this contract is up, so basically I have to wait till February (when the offer of the 6gigabite is gone) to get the 3G iPhone! I wasn't planning on buying it anyway since the plans are just insane but I was curious to see how it works and so even if I wanted to buy this I can't. I find it really funny that they would do this since now there losing an even bigger market to buying the iPhone where there should already be a low number.LOL ROBBERS and there Dog FIDO!!!

Everyone and their grandmother revolted when it was $60 for 300MB. The bitching worked (surprisingly), and now it's $30 for 6GB. What the f**k people. Don't buy it if you can't afford it.

@darkanedarkane I never said it was the same thing. You saying they didn't listen to the people was discrediting them. Apple probably wouldnt have acted had it not been for the negative press. And Rogers may of acted based on the negative press anyway without Apple's intervention. Everyone kicking off a stink in person and in blogs, plus the petition numbers, gave the press something to report on.Don't even know why i'm bothering to argue this minor thing with you. It's not rocket science.
