joystiq.com — Like the Pilgrims and Native Americans breaking bread together, Microsoft and Activision are giving Xbox 360 owners something to truly be thankful for tomorrow: the Halo theme (MJOLNIR Mix edition, featuring fretwork by none other than Steve Vai) is coming to Guitar Hero III.

Why does the article credit ActiVision? It fails to mention Bungie or its sound artists from Halo 2 for making this. Reference: http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=news& ...

That was a bit of a joke ; ) I've purchased every GH title for PS2 and 360... The point I was making is that I'd hardly consider FoF a substitute, even with all of the mods. 95% of the user-created songs are off beat and are simply people running MP3s through a MIDI interpreter, which does a terrible job, and not bothering to go through and fix the note track. They're difficult to play, unless you're one that focuses solely on playing the notes on screen and not the playing along to the song that's playing...
