engadget.com — As if playing Rock Band wasn't one of the greatest group gaming experiences to come around in years, it appears that a new accessory is set to amp up the fun even more by bringing an "interactive light and smoke stage show" to your already thrashing performances.

And to think, after you buy all this plastic crap, extra guitars, etc., you could have just bought a real set of instruments and have your friends over to ACTUALLY jam... oh, that requires friends, nevermind.

Hopefully, the stage lights will work better than that crap they sell at American DJ. I had a set of lights and a fogger but the lights kept blowing fuses during the show. After having an electrician check it out it turned out to be wires that could not handle the power and he said that if I kept using it, it would have burnt up... as in electrical fire. I hope this 'kit' offers something a bit better, especially for $100.

I have no problem saying that I'm pretty excited to have this. My friends and I are all married with kids and what not so Rock Band is our fun for the week. Plus I like to get my kid in on the game. She'll love the lights and smoke. Keep in mind its not just adults that play these games. Kids dig them too. I'm pretty sure my wife will make fun of me for years for buying it. It will still be fun though.

Diff'rent strokes for Diff'rent folks. There is nothing I would like more than to have smoke and lights waiting with our ROCKBAND when the roomies and I get home from the bar - and it would only cost us $33 a piece. Count me in, but start releasing more and better music please. Also, for the record, girls like playing the game too. It's actually a good reason to invite them back to your place...
