huffingtonpost.com — How about getting the intelligence wrong or right? The conventional wisdom is that everyone got the intelligence on Iraq wrong before the war. But that's not true at all. Richard Clarke didn't have it wrong. In fact, Richard Clarke had everything from Al Qaeda to Iraq exactly right.

The more things ((change)) the more they stay the same...The only thing B.O. has changed is his address. To bad "change" wasn't defined before the [s]election. I wonder how the obamabots are going feel when they find out "change" was only a word used to played on their emotions.

Change is an election term used by every politician.. then they get into office and the "good old boy's club" is introduced and "payback time" is enacted and we have politics as usual.

Based on her past comments and diggs, I'm pretty sure le0pardess voted 3rd party. I don't think the right/left (love one side, hate the other) paradigm is applicable. It appears more likely that she is just pissed off about all the sheep who base their political opinions on "hope" rather than anything truly legitimate.

While I'm a little beyond incredulous that someone seriously quotes Ann Coulter these days, take it from a security expert who's a colleage of Richard Clarke that this is NOT how you measure success in terms of security. It's like saying, "I haven't had a heart attack so my diet must be just fine."Instead, you measure security success by, well, measuring it. The 9/11 commission identified 37 areas of improvement and measure Bush administration performance on these tasks 5 times. The results? Utter failure. On many of these initiatives, Bush didn't even try.The addage, "Worst President Ever" is an UNDERestimation.

Clarke failed us. According to Bin Laden Chief Michael Scheuer, Clarke not only faild to eliminate Bin Laden, but went so far as tip off the Saudi Sheik, that Bin Laden was having lunch with. Bin Laden scattered and later did his 911 attack. Which led to our invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq. Our government leadership has made matters worse. We have meddled in the affairs of so many foreign governments so long, with such arrogance we have guaranteed their animosity for at least another generation. Now ask yourself, if America declines and becomes a 2nd world status nation, do you think are meddling in the affairs of other governments will come home to haunt us? Heed the warning of Rome, who gathered the ire of the the Vandals, who eventually sacked Rome and left it in ruins.
