Bush and Hilliary both "lied".I still am waiting for the details about "how Bush lied" And "There were no WMD "doesn't cut it. How about some proof? There were many reasons we went to war.

@satana...You are seriously mistaken in your assessment of the qualifications to be president for both GWB and Obama. You don't even have the suggestion of proof, just an opinion (X > Y). I only need to point at GWB's entire life record consistent failures and disregard for the law, the consequences of which he has never ever had to face ( so is it any surprise now that he does not even pretend to care what the law is, let alone follow it). For the record I would say that the floater I just left in the toilet is more qualified to run the country than the current president. I pray for those troops daily, that this congress and populace can come to its senses and not let this monster send any more brave young men and women to die in the desert. Obama on the other hand has a number of accomplishments especially programs centered around helping the less fortunate (not Haliburton!). Bush's chief accomplishment before becoming president is having a record number of people executed under his Governorship.wake up from your fox news coma!

Just say "depleted uranium", or "DU", it trumps any "support the troops" arguments by pointing out they are being shoved into a microwave made by the U.S. government, and getting seriously ill or dying by the thousands just like after the first Gulf War. The embedded media in the Iraqi Green Zone aren't allowed to talk about it or they get sent home, and the media worldwide know not to cover it too. The "truth" beats any B.S. sold to us by the mass media, who give us two stupid sides of an issue we never learn to understand which keeps us yapping at each other like ignorant idiots. Check with Webster Tarpley, Greg Palast, Alex Jones, Sy Hersh, Dahr Jamail and hundreds of others for what's really happening, and remember that all this "tough talk" on "war" is just marketing designed to appeal to stupid people... - Peace, BK

JordanRL - Congress did not give Bush authorization for the present Iraq war.Congress authorization required two things:1) It must be proven that Saddam has WMDs 2) It must be shown that Saddam was involved in 9/11Both were lies by Bush administration, so actually the authorization for war is not even in effect. But the Congress, being the pussies they are, is not doing a thing about it. <a class="user" href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A12115-2004Oct6.html">http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A12115-2004Oct6.html</a> No WMDs found<a class="user" href="http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/0916-01.htm">http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/0916-01.htm</a> Iraq war illegal, says UN<a class="user" href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/3661134.stm">http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/3661134.stm</a> Iraq war illegal, says UN<a class="user" href="http://www.thememoryhole.org/war/no-saddam-qaeda.htm">http://www.thememoryhole.org/war/no-saddam-qaeda.htm</a> 9/11-Iraq connection a lie<a class="user" href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn?pagename=article&node=&contentId=A32862-2003Sep5&notFound=true">http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn?pagename=article&node=&contentId=A32862-2003Sep5&notFound=true</a>the same 9/11-Saddam lies, according to Washington Post<a class="user" href="http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/10/20021002-2.html">http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/10/20021002-2.html</a> The original authorization for use of force against Iraq by Congress, and the conditions needed for the use of force. Namely, that Iraq must have WMDs and must have supported 9/11 strikes. Both now known to be utter, shameless lies.

Keitho: England is claiming to be pulling out troops, when in reality both USA and Britain have been amassing naval forces in the Gulf area. Theres now the biggest concentration of aircraft carriers, support vessels and amphibious assault vessels since the start of Iraq war. That doesnt sound to me like "decreasing troops" its more like getting ready for another war. Considering how both governments lied before Iraq war, its perfectly plausible that they shoud lie again. Brings to mind Neville Chamberlains naive words in the 1930s: "Peace in our lifetime!"<a class="user" href="http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=viewArticle&code=20061103&articleId=3696">http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=viewArticle&code=20061103&articleId=3696</a>"Massive Deployment of Naval Power directed against Iran"Also this link (since I know how some here feel about "leftists" ;)<a class="user" href="http://www02.clf.navy.mil/eisenhower/">http://www02.clf.navy.mil/eisenhower/</a><a class="user" href="http://www.ne.jp/asahi/gonavy/atsugi/gonavy604.html">http://www.ne.jp/asahi/gonavy/atsugi/gonavy604.html</a> (Carrier group locations)<a class="user" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/02/25/ngulf125.xml">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/02/25/ngulf125.xml</a>"Britain?s senior naval officer in the Persian Gulf has revealed that Royal Navy deployments in the region have doubled since October in a build-up that matches the rapid escalation of American maritime firepower."So in reality, both countries are rapidly gearing up for war, AGAIN, while publicly lying thru their teeth about it. Swell.

Bush will continue the war even if he has to strap on a rifle and slug it out in Iraq himself. HA HA HA HA!

President bush should prove himself and do a tour with the grunts. I think hes a coward and this is a excellent chance for him to prove otherwise. I know it will cut into his vacation time at his ranch but I can't think of anything more worthwhile for him at this time.I bet that coward Murtha would go with him. If the rest of us are lucky Murtha could do what other soldiers did in Nam to unpopular officers.

The President is granted powers as commander in chief of the US military in Article II, Section 2 of the US Constitution. This right is granted to the President, and not to Congress or the Supreme Court. The check on this power is provided by the election of the President by the people of the United States every four years. The Congress does have the power of the purse. As such they can choose to fund or not fund the defense department; however, if the President veto's such legislation, they must override that veto with a 2/3 majority of both houses.

I think that nine tenths of the U.S. congress and both the President and Vice President need to indicted for treason. Not to mention some the supreme court justices who have ruled against the constitution. And then you still have to get all of the corrupt politions at the state and local level. It looks like we have quite a job ahead of us.
