"btw has anyone seen the shout thing on torrentspy? total ripoff of digg. plus it sucks"yeah i noticed that lately, it's totally a ripoff but it has some stuff that digg doesn't, like: "11 YEAR OLD GIRL WITH F CUPS QUITS MODELING" can't beat a story like that
I like utorrent anytime rather then azureus... I was using azureus before switching to utorrent. My speed for azureus was only 6-23 kb/s. I was downloading anime that was about 8.4gb. Azureus took a long time at the speed of 10kb/s. Once I switched to utorrent it was downloading at a speed of about 200kb/s. And for the thing about D-link not working well with utorrent its just bull...I am using a wireless D-link card and it works fine with utorrent. Any ways Azureus kept crashing my computer like making it have problems and shutting down my computer. I have no spyware or anti virus since I know how to kill those easily. utorrent is great! I love it! Try it out. Utorrent and azureus. They are neck to neck. It all depends on your comp and what you have that will work for you. For me its utorrent others its Azureus both are great but IMO I think utorrent is good.
I find the comments made by other diggers about azureus to be uneducated. Firstly azureus is not bloatware, just because you can not find a use for a feature doesn't mean it's useless for everybody. I personally use most of the features azureus has to offer. The issues about its speed are valid, and it's because of its dependency on JRE. Their goal is portability not speed. If you really want the speed, compile azureus with GCJ. uTorrent does nothing for linux or mac users, and lacks a lot of the features i want from a torrent client.BitComet was probably excluded from the review for it's little "cheats", like ignoring private flags and lying about it's upload rate to gain download priority. Most trackers now ban bitcomet, and when they dont, i do.In case you couldn't tell i use azureus on linux :P
