seattlepi.nwsource.com — From the Seattle Post-Intelligencer a review of the Eee PC laptop from a reporter who is more intelligencer than most. You wont want to be staring at the tiny screen for hours on end. But, it can be hooked up to a VGA monitor for up to 1280x1024 resolution -- not too shabby. With a USB hard drive for your music, an external slim DVD player for your movies, a USB keyboard/mouse, and a monitor, it makes a decent primary PC.

There's actually a good reason the screen is as small as it is: the Eee is built like a tank and the extra plastic around the screen contributes greatly to how sturdy its shell is.

Pah, even with the bigger screen, the resolution is still reported to be the same as the regular 7" screen :(

Try the unofficial user forum at eeeuser.com. Oh and also, software updates in Linux (or at least this version of it) are done solely by the operating system. Try setting up properly-pinned Xandros repositories (guide on that site I mentioned) and you'll get a whole load of extra software that isn't in the Asus repos.
