scottkelby.com— "There are things I absolutely love about my new 15″ Apple MacBook Pro, but at least 40 to 50 times a day, I want to have a friend fling it high into the air so I can use it for skeet shooting practice."

I do. And it works fine for what I use PS for. I don't use a mouse because 1) Don't need to do precision drawing (zoom in if need to do semi-accurate selections) and 2) A mouse induces RSI pretty quick (even on my high-end Logitech mouse). I use the trackpad for 3d software too and again, works fine. I used to switch hands with the mouse a few years back to help with RSI, and that helped for a couple of years, but ended up just using a trackpad and never had any issues since. A trackpad is pretty quick to use when you use it all the time, and quite handy when you use a laptop all over the place.Bottom line is everyones need and situation differs. Don't expect everyone to work the same way as you.
SOMEONE didn't test drive his MacBook Pro before he bought it. I think that the new ones are great. It doesn't matter what Apple does. Someone will always bitch. Apple does not try to be all things for all people. That's Dell's job.
"Or... you know... use a mouse? What sort of professional uses Photoshop exclusively with a trackpad?"... OR ... you know ... use a PEN TABLET?! What sort of professional uses Photoshop exclusively with a MOUSE?! You enjoy drawing while holding a bar of soap in your hand?!
@diggimator: Not an option since the introduction of multi-touch gestures. It's on by default and the option is removed from System Preferences.I imagine there's a command to do it, but I think that causes problem with gestures.

Um pay more attention. He's not talking about the OS, he's talking about the hardware. OS X is nice but Apple's hardware is pure garbage.

He'll probably learn about the the trackpad before people on the Internet learn to spell "your."

If it worked as designed Apple wouldn't be working on a fix for it.
