hammeroftruth.com — The Libertarian Diggers group has returned! After the original group owner took it offline, Johnson Rice decided to start it up again over at Google Groups. It?s a group devoted to promoting Libertarian articles and news stories (like those here on HoT) at the uber-popular Digg.com.

I'm forming a Pirate Party Diggers group. Who's in?

It's interesting that when it's political that such a collaboration is considered collusion, but when it's hardware site begs for diggs in its forum it's practically encouraged.

BigDaveDiode is probably involved in an endeavor involving the question "You want large fries with that?" and will attend to us evil diggers at his earliest convenience.

"That might have been a low blow. To clarify, I don't really side with or against any major active political parties here in the states. "Well, it was IMO a valid question (though purposely a bit pedantic) - though it may seem on the surface to be "unfair" that one group diggs up articles promoting their politics, it is wholly possible for other groups to do so (at which point we raise our front-page threshold...). In any event, politics varies far more widely across the globe than across the US, where the two major political parties are pretty much two sides of the same coin."You see, to most people, my previous statement made perfect sense. But since I made a valid point against an argument you sided with, you chose to twist my own words against me. Oh, and correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that one of the tactics that Hitler used to sway the Germans in his favor?"No need to be so defensive, I'm just digging a bit into your phrasing - I knew what you meant for the most part - modern political parties - but there was a lack of clarity in scope w.r.t. global or national.Hitler did all kinds of things, mostly using fear, doubt and scapegoating to sway the public to his mindset (it wasn't long to walk over the cliff for the German people at the time).

Mark, I am a civil libertarian myself, but regardless, every single 'libertarian' article I have seen on digg is polarized psycho-economics.

So true, wangdang. It's hilarious to me that the same people who constantly use "collectivist" as their most treasured insult can't wait to collectivize themselves into mailing lists and groups in order to better assert their power over others.

Your words show you do not know anything of libertarian ideology. Libertarians are not against group activity in any way, shape, or form. Libertarians place a heavy emphasis on the importance of the individual, yes, but that's because we care about everyone's freedoms and sovereignty. Libertarians simply dislike large government and the initiation of coercion. We wish to see the initiation of coercion minimized, and the scope of the government decreased.Collectivism, which you also seem to know nothing of, pertains to societies where the group unit is placed above the individual. Online groups are not collectivist entities. You may like supporting a government that can take your money to wage war in anyway it sees fit - I do not. I should not be forced to pay to enforce the views and principles of other people.

@ne0shellWhat an insane rant. Globalists believe in world government, not in the elimination of government. They believe in regulation, not deregulation. State solutions, not free market solutions. Globalists are the polar opposite of free-market libertarians. Do you have any idea what you're talking about? You don't seem to.

Libertarians STFU. I've read some of your BS on digg. (1 was too many). To sum up your stupid thinking :Government makes mistakes, government abuses power, government spends all my money on things I don't want. SSSOOOO get rid of government and WE WILL LIVE IN PARADISE.Grow the hell up and think of someone and something besides YOURSELF. Libertarian ideas can only work on a planet with 10,000 people NOT 6+ billion. I finally see a bipartisan project for the Libs and Conservs. We should get together and beat some sense into the WORLD REVOLVES AROUND ME RADICALS.
