japanator.com — In 1990 I was 13 years old. That was the year that the original Final Fantasy for the NES was first released. While I can still vividly remember everything around me while I played I remember most clearly listening to the music. Nineteen years later, I found myself shaking hands with that composer - Nobuo Uematsu.

It's a little wrong to say a tomato is a vegetable.it's VERY wrong to say a tomato is a suspension bridge.

Being a huge fan of FF music I went to the first Dear Friends show in Chicago and also the Distant Worlds in Chicago last year. Met Nobuo as well. His music has changed my life. I'm going to the Grand Rapids concert tonight, I will be the guy with FF8's Edea, literally.

6 was better than 7. To me I have no greater gaming memories than playing the nes and snes final fantasies. I get so nostalgic thinking about it...

X was pretty good too. XII has grown on me the more I've listened to it. "Dalmasca Estersands", "Theme of the Empire", and "Esper Battle" are highlights. Although Uematsu wasn't involved with any of them. Overall I like the VI and VII soundtracks the best.

The "fully orchestrated" FF7 soundtrack only has three tracks on it, though...

I love the FF music! Nobuo Uematsu music is really cool. But let's not forget about the music from Legend of Zelda (Koji Kondo).
