I was ready to criticize this for misappropriation of funds that could have been used to save HUMAN lives, but I'm glad I read the article a bit more closely. Money for each $49USD mask came from donations by animal lovers. Don't get me wrong, I love animals and think of my own as parts of the family, just I know losing a pet to me, would not be like losing a loved one. When paramedics and rescuers have to lug around so much gear as it is, I'm hoping every conceivable space is used for equipment that can save ME or other humans.
