no, i don't mean to troll at all, i am very democratit's just that digg is allegedly a news site, and it's been turning into something resembling GOPbashing.comIt's hard to even form an informed political opinion just by going through diggs politics section is what i mean.
Where did megamahi state that he/she was a kid? I must have missed that. I don't pay for my phone because it's much cheaper to be a part of a family plan, with 5 lines for $60 a month, as opposed to each person having their own contract. I guess saving money is a bad idea.Or, it could be the situation I have with my roommate. I don't have a land line, but he does. He gets a s**t-ton of people calling him all through the day. If I'm home, I'll answer, but 14 times out of 15, it will be telemarketers. Now, because I don't use the phone to make or receive my own calls, that isn't included on my bill every month. Sure, it's annoying to answer the telemarketer calls, but it's better than being a dick and not answering the phone at all.
It's amazing, just amazing. Every time you think the Republicans couldn't get any scummier, they do. I hope people find out about this before tomorrow and it backfires.
Interesting article. Last Saturday, I received a phone call at 6am on the dot. The caller ID was (908) 000-0000 and was from 'DNC'. It claimed to be from (a robotic) Democratic pollster and how I must vote Democratic, yada yada yada.I knew there was NO WAY IN HELL any campaigner would call at 6am. I wonder if anyone else thought the same? Nice push-polling-like technique by those snakes.
The federal (FCC) LAW about autodialers is that they must correctly identify themselves at the beginning of the message. The Republican messages at issue here do not reveal their source until the very end of a loooong recorded message, and if anything, they name the Democratic candidate at the start. That is the issue here. Not "annoying robocalls from both parties," but a coordinated campaign of deceptive, ILLEGAL robocalls as a tactic to win votes for specific Republicans.
