shelleytherepublican.com — At first I thought this was a joke, but these extreme right wing wakos really think Linux is UnAmerican. "This Linux problem is a growing issue, and one that conservative Americans cannot afford to ignore. Fortunately Microsoft have prepared a great deal of information to help computer users get away from this menace."

Of course most Diggers don't find this funny: Irony requires intelligence to appreciate and unless Keith Olberman tells them about it, most Diggers are too flipping stupid to detect it.The only problem with this piece is that it's not Linux that's un-America, it's Apple and Mac OS. Between their fascist control of hardware and software and the blind loyalty of their cultish users, it's a lingering reminder of the evils of the Soviet Union.

Bury this... judging from the comments, there are way too many Diggers who are unable to grasp the concept of satire.I mean, the profanity filter on the site's tagboard prohibits the word "satire".

From:http://shelleytherepublican.com/tos.htmlShelleyTheRepublican is a satirical and purely fictional character. ShelleyTheRepublican.com is a satirical entertainment web site. "Shelley"* and her friends (Barbara, Sam, Tristan, Micheal, Stacy and Shelley's retarded brother Mike Goodman) are fictional characters (*created 1999). Shelley's opinions are an amalgam of many of the right-wing pundits who are frequently featured on conservative TV and talk-radio. Shelley's views are outrageous, offensive and wrong, but no more so than the right-wing pundits that saturate our media. The purpose of this website is to point out how utterly absurd these right-wing views are. The fact that you had a lingering doubt that she was "for real" meant that you too agree that Shelley's opinions reflect what some Republicans actually believe. Naturally, Shelley is an exaggeration. No single Republican combines the religious mania of Pat Robertson, the brazen menace of Sean Hannity and the hysterical nonsense of Anne Coulter. Shelley is all of these people and more. The fact that you dislike Shelley means that there is hope for us all. It's safe to say that almost all information in all of the articles on this site is false. The web site is designed to be funny. We hope it made some of you laugh.

@cecilYeah, buried halfway down in the blocktext after you read for a half hour...I call bulls**t, that's there for cover. Nobody could possibly be so demented as to think this is funny. This is what a bunch of righties really think, and they put the satire clause in in case they get sued.Again, nobody, on their worst possible day, could possibly confuse this site with humor.

bobbybobington: NO SENSE OF HUMOR!But seriously, this is obviously another part of the great right-wing conspiracy run by Karl Rove to impose a fascist empire run by the Bus**tler chimpy geniusidiot so that Dick Cheney can run up by tabs at the country club that Halliburton will pay for him.Oh, and the Black Helicopters run Windows 95.

And guess what software Osama Bin Laden uses on his laptop? If you guessed it was Linux you would be 100% right. Osama uses Linux because he knows designed to counterfit DVDs, curcumventing the Digital Millenium Copyright Act, and defraud companies like Disney. How could this person possibally know that. What a load of crap...

Unfortunately, there are some idiot neocons who actually believe Linux is un-American. Just lurk on Freerepublic.com and look up the posts of a poster named Golden Eagle. He uses Richard Stallman's supposed left-wing stances (I no longer believe in "left-wing" or "right-wing") to paint all Linux users as "evil liberal hippie commies".
